We have a wide array of merchandise to select from which allows for complete personalization and celebration of the life of your loved one for their funeral service.  This includes caskets, burial vaults, urns, clothing, register books, personalized memorial cards, and DVD video tributes.  In addition we can arrange for special services that allows for even more personalization. These personalizations include: military honors, photo collages, live musicians, and non-denominational funeral celebrants.

Tradtional Funeral Services

This service includes a visitation or viewing, and a funeral service either in the funeral  home, a church, or any other place of worship, and then a procession to a cemetery for interment of the deceased.

Traditional with Cremation Services

This service includes a visitation or viewing, and a funeral service either in the funeral home, a church, or any other place of worship.  The Deceased is taken to the crematory and the cremated remains are returned to the family .  Some families choose to keep the ashes, bury them in a cemetery or entomb them in a mausoleum.

Cremation with Memorial Services

The cremation takes place first and at a later date a visitation is arranged in the fuenral home where relatives and friends may visit with the family.  The cremated remains are usually present in an urn.  Flowers, pictures, a tribute video, prayer cards, and a register book are on display.  There is a ceremony, usually by clergy, afterwhich the service concludes.  This service can also be arranged at the gravesite in a cemetery or mausoleum.

Direct Cremation

Some families who choose to cremate a loved one choose to do so with only the minimal services necessary.  These services generally include: local pickup and transportation from the funeral home to the crematory; processing and filing of all legally required documents, such as death certificates and cremation authorization; placement of the body in an “alternative container” ( heavy-walled cardboard box with a lid); cremation of the body in a cremation chamber; and return of the cremated remains to the family in a minimum (temporary) cremation container.

Veterans

At Rasmussen Harrison Funeral Home we feel a deep sense of gratitude to all of the veterans who have provided so much for our country.  As a small token of our appreciation we will handle the filing of Veterans Administration paperwork for you.  This includes: Honor Guard Memorial Service; Burial Benefits Application; U.S. Flag Application; and Government Headstone Application.  If desired we will also arrange for burial in a veterans cemetery.
