Rolf A. Heinemeier, age 85, of Warwick, NY passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023. Rolf was an extraordinary chef, completing his apprenticeship in Germany and training across Europe. He operated the Warwick Gardens restaurant with his wife Edith for twenty years. Rolf traveled the world collecting new recipes each time for his customers, friends, and family to enjoy. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed nature to its fullest, especially by tending his farm known as “Sugarbush.” Throughout his life he was a member of the Warwick Lions Club, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Beaver Brook Hunting Club, and Highland Field and Stream . He cooked countless meals for the fundraisers and benefit of these organizations.

Rolf was predeceased in death by his daughter, Heidi Morse, and wife, Edith. Survivors include his companion, Brigitte Walsh, daughter Janet Syre and her husband Jim, son in law Timothy Morse, grandchildren Andrew Morse, Jesse Morse, Mariah Delposen, and Isaac Syre, and six great-grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of Rolf’s life on Saturday, August 5 at 11:00 a.m at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on King’s Highway in Warwick, NY.

Memorial contributions can be made to Easter Seals or St Judes Childrens hospital.
