Marion J. (LeDoux) Gruel, 87, a longtime resident of Barryville, NY, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Garnet Medical Center, Harris, NY.  Marion was the daughter of the late John and Marion LeDoux, she was born July 3, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY. 

Marion was married for 60 years to Arnold Gruel, he survives.  They came to Barryville from Glendale, Queens, NY.    Marion was a member of Barryville United Methodist Church, Barryville, NY.  She was a member Lumberland Senior Citizen Group.

A family statement reads: “Marion was a loving, caring and devoted wife,  sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.”

She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Arnold Gruel, good friends Arlene Adamo and her late husband Joseph, Peter Carmeci and his wife Bonnie.

Marion is predeceased by her sister: Marjorie Strum.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 11:00 am at Montoza Cemetery, Eldred, NY

Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst will officiate the services.
