Beach Lake, PA
Joseph Curreri of Beach Lake, PA, passed away peacefully at Hospice Center Scranton on Monday, August 22, 2022.
He was 90 years old. The son of the late Calogero & Serafina (Cinquemani) Curreri, he was born on September 15, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier RC Church, Narrowsburg, NY and a member of the former Tusten and Beach Lake Senior Clubs. Retired for 36 years from his job as an Electrical Switch Maintainer for NYC Transit Authority.
Joe loved to sing and even had a “recording studio” in his home, where he made CD’s and gave them out to family and friends. His favorite artist was Frank Sinatra. He tried out for America’s Got Talent TV show and did get an audition in NYC. Those that knew him, know that he sang at every family function!
He is survived by his three children: Joseph Curreri and his wife Dawn of Narrowsburg, NY, Jerry Curreri, Jannine Brostowski and her husband James of Lindenhurst, NY, 6 grandchildren, Joseph Curreri (Carolyn), James Curreri (Brankica), Daniel Curreri, James Brostowski, Leyna Brostowski & John Brostowski, 6 great grandchildren: Hailey, David, Alexis, Isabella, Joseph & Alex Curreri, his sisters: Josephine Gelo, Elena Duff and Rosie Breen all residing in Florida.

He is predeceased by his wife, Laura Curreri, brother, Gerlando “Jerry” Curreri, sisters, Carmela Neglia & Mary Dippolito and his grandson, David F. Curreri.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home, Barryville, NY and a graveside service & burial held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 10 am at the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, School Street, Narrowsburg, NY.
