George A. Schumpp, 90, of Livingston Manor, NY, a longtime resident of the area, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Belle Reve Nursing Home, Milford, PA.

The son of the late Frederick and Cora Schumpp, he was born February 22, 1934 in Manhattan, NY.  George was a US Army Veteran, having served during Korea.

George retired from Operations Metro North/ Grand Central Terminal, NYC.

George was the widower of the Late Christa (Baumeister) Schumpp, they were married for 51 years, she passed away May 17, 2016.

George is survived by his son: George E. Schumpp and his wife Debra of Fairlawn, NJ, grandchildren: Michael, Alyssa, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by his wife Christa and his brothers Richard Schumpp, James Schumpp and sister: Ann Koscor.

A Graveside service will be held on: Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 11:00Am at the Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY 12764.
