Elizabeth E. “Bettie” (Caldwell) Gettel of Narrowsburg, NY, a longtime resident of
Sullivan County died on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Garnet Medical Center, Callicoon, NY She
was 87 years old.

The daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Adam) Caldwell., she was born December
28, 1935 in Long Island City, NY.

Betty was a retired secretary.  She is survived by 2 sons: Bruce Gettel and his wife laura of Lava, NY, (stepson)Edwin F. III of
North Carolina. (10) Grandchildren, (12) great grandchildren, several nieces,
nephews and cousins.

Betty is predeceased by he husband of 44 years, Edwin F. Gettel Jr., a stepdaughter
Belinda-Jo, a brother George Caldwell, a sister: Catherine Egan and a stepson James Gettel.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Cremation will follow at the
Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Burial of her cremains will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Bethel, NY
