Borys Kekish, 83, a longtime resident of NYC and Glen Spey, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023.  Borys was the son of the late Onufrey and Eugenia (Kruhlyak) Kekish, he was born March 22, 1940, in Rakovits, Ukraine.

Borys was a retired Civil Engineer, NY/NJ Port Authority.   He was a Vietnam veteran, serving as a Captain in the Army 101^st Airborne Screaming Eagles.  He was a member of the Scout Plast in the Lisὀvi Chorti division.

Survivors include Borys nieces: Ulana Kekish(Goddaughter) and her son: Nazariy, Romanna Hrechynsky, her husband Vasyl and their son Viktor, as well as Laryssa Salak, Christina Shablovsky and daughters Maria and Adriana.

Borys is predeceased by a brother Bohdan J. Kekish and a sister-in-law Daria Kekish.

Divine Liturgy Mass will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 10:00Am at Saints Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 329 High Rd., Glen Spey, NY 

Burial will follow mass in St. Andrews Cemetery, South Bound Brook, NJ
