Bernard “Bernie” Creamer, 89, a longtime resident of Narrowsburg, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. Bernie was the son of the late James and Margaret (Cavanaugh) Creamer, he was born February 28, 1934 1n New York, NY.

Bernie was happily retired from a variety of careers. Bernie loved supporting his community and sold tickets for various groups and organizations.  A family statement reads: “Bernie was a loving, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle and loved nothing more than spending time with his family.  He loved writing poetry and living on the Delaware River. He especially enjoyed fishing and watching the wildlife there.  He cared deeply about the environment, the Delaware River and Narrowsburg itself.He will be forever cherished in our hearts and missed by all.”

He is survived by his, Six children: Susan Amenta and her husband Robert of New City, NY, John Creamer and his wife Marianne of Warrington, PA, Debra DiFranco and her partner Neftali Fernandez of Wakefield, MA, William Creamer and his wife Koren of Cortland Manor, NY, Melinda Card and her husband Daniel of Honesdale, PA, Steven Creamer of Honesdale, PA, eleven grandchildren, and two great granddaughters.

Bernie is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Carol (Tiedemann) Creamer.

A spring  graveside service will be announce in the spring  to be in Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg.
