Thomas M. Clark Jr., of Lackawaxen, PA, age 78, passed away on June 27, 2025, surrounded
by loved ones at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Known affectionately as “TC” to
friends and family, Tom was born on September 5, 1946, in Callicoon, NY, the son of the late
Thomas Clark Sr. and Edna Clauss.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie; daughters Danielle (husband Chris), Lori
(husband Steve), Heather, and Jennifer; his brother and sister-in-law, John and Sandy Clark; as
well as many nieces and nephews.
Tom proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He learned carpentry and
masonry from his father, applying those skills on bridges, buildings, and homes across
Pennsylvania and New York. He was a devoted lifetime member of the Ecker-Haupt VFW Post
5635, where he held roles including Commander, Quartermaster, grill master, and most recently,
mentor to new members and volunteers.
Tom had a deep love for the outdoors, including fishing, deer hunting, and birdwatching. He was
rarely without a crossword puzzle in hand and was most proud of raising his four daughters
alongside his beloved wife, Debbie.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at Ecker-Haupt VFW Post 5635, 560 Route 590,
Lackawaxen, on Saturday, July 5 at 11:00 a.m., with a brief service at 12:30 p.m., and a
luncheon to follow.
