Nancy Ellen Haynes, joined the Church Triumphant on Sunday, February 1^st, 2026. Her parents, who have predeceased her, were Hugh Marvin Haynes Jr, and Marianna Haynes.

Nancy was born in Brooklyn, NY, in March 1951 and lived there her whole life. She is survived by twin sister, the Rev. Phyllis Haynes; brother, David Haynes and wife, Martha; sister Jennifer Haynes Leickl; and brother Andrew Haynes, as well as a number of nieces and nephews and cousins.

She attended the Lutheran Elementary School of Bay Ridge and Fort Hamilton High School. She went to Queens College for one year. While working in banking for twenty-five years, she also took classes with the American Institute of Banking. Following those years in banking, she worked first for Tourneau Watches and then for National Benefit Life.

Nancy enjoyed cooking and cruising. She went on a number of cruises, the last one being a Mediterranean cruise. Her cooking was first rate and she liked to experiment sometimes, often working without recipes.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 11:00am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 31 Erie Avenue, Narrowsburg, NY 12764.  Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY.
