Lori Ann Dezso

Yulan, NY — Lori Ann Dezso, 56, of Yulan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, after a courageous, long illness.

Born Lori Ann Wingert, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth “Libby” Wingert. Raised in the close-knit community of Yulan, Lori’s life was grounded in family, tradition, and strong local roots.

Lori’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a deeply loving, proud mother to her daughter, Amber. Nothing brought Lori more happiness than being a grandmother to her two grandsons, Adam and Donovan, whom she treasured and adored deeply.

Known for her warm heart, quick wit, and welcoming spirit, Lori loved nothing more than gathering with family and friends. Her sharp sense of humor could effortlessly light up any room, and she had an incredible talent for finding a good deal—always taking pride in her clever, thrifty finds. She was also a passionate baker whose kitchen was always filled with love and delicious treats made for those she cared about. Whether sharing a laugh, scoring a great bargain, or spending quality time surrounded by loved ones, Lori’s warmth and bright presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Amber; her cherished grandsons, Adam and Donovan; her loving sister, JoAnn Genninger and her husband John; her brother-in-law, Bob Decker; her brothers, Steven Wingert, and Harry Wingert Jr. and his wife Beverly; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.

Lori was preceded in death by her loving parents, Harry and Elizabeth Wingert, and her dear sisters, Cindy Baird and Sandy L. Decker.

A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date.
