Gerta A. (Buehner) Cirelli passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Bear Creek Nursing Home, Hudson, FL.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Gerta (Theobald) Kane.  She was born July 28, 1942 in New York City.  She was 82 years old.  She was raised by the Theobald family in Lava, NY, they had owned the Lava House.   Gerta graduated from Narrowsburg Central High School in Narrowsburg.     She was a taxi driver in Long Island, she had also owned a Beauty Solon in Long Island.  She worked at the World’s Fair in 1964.   Later in life she moved back to Narrowsburg, where she owned an antique store and drove a school bus.  She married John J. Cirelli, they loved to travel, they drove her RV from Barryville, NY to Hudson, Florida.  She enjoyed camping but John did not, so they sold the RV.  In Narrowsburg, NY, she attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  She is survived by her husband John, her stepdaughters Kitten,Robyn Haschke and her husband Frank, her stepson: Thomas Bessette her brother Peter Kane and his wife Jean, sister: Maureen Stickley, her sister-in-law: Anne Kane.    She is predeceased by her brother Thomas Kane.  Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 1:00pm at Lava Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY.  Rev Phyllis Haynes will officiate.   Services are under the care of the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home, 3412 SR97, Barryville, NY 12719   Harrisonrasmussenfh.com    845-557-8010
