Gary N. Thorpe 77, of Beach Lake PA passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton PA.  Born on July 31, 1944 to the late Neil and Charlotte (Hector) Thorpe in San Diego, CA.  Gary was married to Linda “Lindy” (Peck) Thorpe for 32 years, who survives.

Gary was self-employed owning G&L Auto Body Shop located in Beach Lake, PA.  He was a member of ACE Snowmobile Club and an avid car enthusiast attending local car shows and favoring antique car restoration.  Gary served in the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania and as a Reserve of the Army from 1965 through 1971.

A kind and generous husband, brother, uncle, great-uncle and friend. Gary will be forever cherished and remembered by his wife and his pups Benny and Zoey.  He will be forever missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, his sisters: Carol Thorpe of Waymart, PA; Maxine Korb and husband Dr. Richard Korb of Honesdale; his nieces and nephews: Kara Poremba and husband Steven; Ricky Korb; Samantha (Peck) Hicks and husband Alex, all of Honesdale, Carolyn Curreri and husband Joseph of Beach Lake, and Michael Peck of Menifee; CA, several great nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm and 5:00pm – 7:00pm and Monday, May 23, 2022 from 10:30am – 11:30am, at Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home of Barryville, 3412 SR 97, Barryville NY.   Funeral Service will be on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11:30am with Paster Phyllis Haynes in the funeral home.  Burial will follow the funeral service at the Glen Cove Cemetery, Kirk Road, Narrowsburg, NY.
