Florence was born on July 17th, 1934 in Narrowsburg, NY. She was the youngest of five children of Alvin F. and Anna B. Holfeld (nee Stiene).

From an early age, Florence, embraced a small town life along the Delaware River with determination and sense of adventure. These qualities were strengthened as she traveled through life.

On February 19th, 1955, Florence married Daniel Billard. While raising four children, their joined sense of adventure moved them thirty-four times until Dan’s retirement finally settled them back to the hometown that they loved.

Florence had many joys in her life. Finding treasures at yard sales and auctions fulfilled her sense of determination as did being a D.J. Bringing people together through music and moving them to dance was a great source of happiness for her.

She was loved “more and more everyday” by her devoted husband (Dancing Dan) over seventy years.

Above all else, she was a devoted wife, a loving mother and cherished Nene to her  grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her joy of life will continue to inspire her family.

Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 5-7p at the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral of Barryville, 3412 SR 97, Barryville, NY 12719 845-557-8010 and

visitation will be at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Saturday, December 20th, at 9:00 a.m. to 10:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00am.
