Edward Magilton was born March 2nd 1971 and passed away in his home on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
Ed is survived by his parents Edward and Patricia Magilton, his wife Glynn Magilton, his son Edward Magilton and his wife Teresa, his daughter Amanda Scheib and her husband Flynn, his two grandsons Wesley Magilton and Quill Scheib, and his brother John Magilton.
He was born and raised in Yonkers and moved his family to Narrowsburg in 2003.
In his life Ed became an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and trapping with his son. As a member of Beaver Brook Rod and Gun Club, Ed enjoyed fishing and trap skeet shooting.
Ed was also a long-time member of the Sullivan Lodge Free Masons. Ed was also a member of the Lava Fire department as fire police for a number of years and in the past few years transferred to Narrowsburg Fire department where he was still an active member.
Anyone who knew Ed would know that he was a very passionate member of the Sullivan County Conservative Party for many years. He took pride in his role as chairman, which he was holding at the time of his passing.
In his career, Ed was skilled boiler service and repair technician for many years. Even in his retirement he would never turn down a call from a friend that needed a hand with their unit.
Throughout his years he collected many skills that ranged from making his own fly-fishing lures to sewing custom items and intricate patches. There wasn’t much he didn’t know just a little bit about.
His greatest accomplishment however, was his role as father and grandfather. He was so proud of his children and would never pass on an opportunity to brag about his two grandsons.
In life, Ed loved spending quiet evenings at home with his loving wife Glynn and their 5 dogs.
As a recipient of a donor kidney in 1998, Ed was passionate for the organization Donate Life. In lieu of flowers we are asking for donations to this life saving organization. Donate Life, 5516 Falmouth Street, Richmond, VA 23230. donatelife.net
